Happy planning!
Wedding planning is SO. MUCH. FUN!
Except- sometimes it’s also exhausting.
You’re engaged, you’re dreaming of endless possibilities for your special day and then- you try to find the vendors to fit your style – we don’t want a 80’s themed venue for a rustic style wedding, your spouse- they hate seafood, your budget, AND your ideal area……where in the world are the ones you’re searching for?
So where can you find vendors?
The most obvious option is a google search. If you’ve done this already- you may have realized that endless combinations of keywords can leave you seeing the same vendors and not giving you great options.
Even jumping on google maps and zooming in and dragging the map around may afford you a few more options, but that is a LOT of time spent.
You can always ask your FB friends and family or search other social media platforms-again- that takes so much of your time.
One sure way to find popular vendors is wedding magazines, articles, and blogs. These bridal suggestions are often beautiful and top tier- so be prepared for the price tag.
If you’re looking for something more ‘off-the-beaten-path’ or ‘tailored-to-you’ (aka- checks all your boxes) then your absolute best option is going to be a wedding planner.
I’m not just saying that because I am one.
Most wedding planners have a list vendors in the area/state with descriptions and price comparisons already put together. Barn? DJ with only 90s music? Elegant hall? Horse and Carriage for the reception? Outdoors by the water? Old train station? (Yes, I’m serious)
Can you imagine what type of time that would save you??
Vendors can be tough because you want to make sure they are well-reviewed so that they will show up and perform perfectly or be what the pictures show, so let us do the footwork for you so you can spend more time dreaming and less time stressing about these endless and elusive choices.
Finally, if none of the above options fit you quite right, then we recommend choosing based on importance to you. The venue could be a friend’s gorgeous 5 acres of willow trees and wildflowers, the DJ could be the sibling that always has the best car trip playlists.
The vendors can be sentimental and out of the box. There are no rules and it’s your day.
Whatever you choose- we hope you have a magical day!
